Testing Goldwork Threads (color #Antiqua)

I’m going to make branches or tree trunks with them and this is a small test of the color #Antique

I made a branch so that you can see an example of how to work with these threads. I secure with invisible threads usually. However, I want to show all the stages here so I intentionally chose a noticeable thread for securing.

I wrapped some areas of this thread with other threads of different types, colors, and thicknesses so that you can see how it looks.

If you need to add shades to some sections of the branch and your branch should have a smooth surface, I recommend wrapping it with flat silk. You can use threads like rayon, cotton, or metallic if the branch is knobby or has an uneven surface.

However, I never wrap the entire gold thread because I prefer to leave some areas shiny.
